Bringing Microsoft Certified Expertise to Small Business

Microsoft Certification Courses

We are currently re-working our courses to include the Windows Vista Technology Specialist curriculum. These new courses will still complete to the MCSA - MCSE standard but will provide a stepping stone to the new IT Professional grade of qualifications. We expect the new courses to be released in Jan 2008. The first step is to decide which certification you want to acheive:

The Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) Messaging on Microsoft Windows 2003 certification is designed for professionals who support existing networks and email systems based on Windows technologies. More information..

The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) credential is the premier certification for professionals who analyze the business requirements and design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows 2003 platform and Microsoft server software. More Information..

Each Residential MCSE course is a combination of self study, mentoring advice and assistance culminating in periods of focussed instructor led training and certification examinations. A typical delegate will follow a sequence of events similar to this, completing 30 - 50 hours of self study before each week of Residential training:

1. You Receive your Self-Study Kit

On enrolment onto the course, we will ship you a Self-Study kit for your selected certification qualification.

2. Pre Residential Phase Study

But self-study doesn't mean you're on your own....

You will be allocated an experienced MCSE qualified tutor who will work with you to ensure you achieve the course entry-level requirements. Your tutor will contact you on a regular basis to help you ensure that you stay on track.

Your tutor will agree with you a structured study plan - to help you optimise that valuable study time.

You will have access to email and web-based support - for when you need clarification on any technical or administrative problem.

3. The Instructor Led Residential Phase

The Instructor Led Residential Phases take place at our 'state of the art' training centre in the Best Western Tiverton Hotel. It is equipped with high-specification computer equipment enabling you to gain 'hands on' experience of every aspect of the MS Windows networking environment.

You will carry out intensive laboratory exercises, both in the classroom and live over the Internet, with the help of our highly qualified instructors, who are all Microsoft Certified Trainers holding the qualifications you are being trained to acheive.

4. The Examination Phase - You sit each of the exams within the Residential phase - when your focus and motivation is at its peak....

Focus and momentum are essential. Lose your focus or break the momentum and the IT certifications become a long, hard climb.

Therefore with Residential MCSE, certification exams take place on-site, within the duration of the Instructor Led Phase - when your confidence is at its highest and the information is freshest in your mind.

As preparation for the exams you will sit several exam simulations, using the world leading Transcender software, preparing you to take the real exam with more confidence and experience on online testing.

When you are ready for the certification exam you will take it with an approved Prometric Testing Centre.

At every step of the way you can call your tutor for advice, help is always at hand to get you through to you desired certification.
